Consultation workshops
The information authority occasionally runs ad-hoc consultation workshops around the country for stakeholders.  The last round of these workshops took place in November 2008.



Advisory groups

The information authority runs advisory group meetings throughout the year to encourage system-wide participation and collaboration to improve the sector information systems and avoid, identify and resolve information and data issues.

Adult Safeguarded Learning Group  
This group is for representatives from Adult Safeguarded Learning providers who are responsible for preparing and sending ASL ILR returns.

Data Users Group
This group is made up of key users of further education data. Organisations invited include the LSC, BIS, DCSF, DWP, JCP, Connexions, HEFCE and Ofsted.

Employer Responsive Group 
This group is for representatives from Employer Responsive providers who are responsible for preparing and sending ER ILR returns.

FE Data Management Group
The FE Data Management Group has been advising the information authority on developing guidance for the FE sector in addressing data management issues, so that users of the data can be assured of the quality and reliability of information relating to further education.

F05 Hard Close Sub-Group
This group has a specific remit to monitor any issues arising from the new F05 close date during summer and autumn 2010. Once this function has been completed the sub-group will be dissolved.

Learner Responsive Group
This group is for representatives from providers who are responsible for preparing and sending Learner Responsive ILR returns.

Local Authorities Group
This temporary group for local authority representatives has now been disbanded. The REACT programme is holding training events for local authorities to prepare them for their new commissioning role - to find out more, see the REACT website.  

Own Software Writers Group  
This group consists of staff who write in-house MI systems for their employers.

Software Suppliers Group
This group is for commercial software houses who supply MI systems to learning providers.
