Board Meetings

The information authority board receives its authority from the Department for Business, Innovation, and Skills (BIS) and the Department for Education (DfE) Ministers and is empowered by further education and training organisations through the signing of a protocol.

The authority is accountable to Ministers and all organisations across the sector for balancing the demand for data against that needed by providers to run their businesses.

On the agenda at the June 2010 board meeting

The primary objectives for this meeting were to:

1. Decide whether the secretariat should commence formal consultation with the sector on the recommendations of the FE Data Management Group.
2. Approve a data standard for the timeliness of employer responsive data.
3. Update on progress to develop a standard data set and collection timetable for Connexions data.
