Information Request

The information authority is independently funded by DIUS but is subject to the same legal obligations as the Learning and Skills Council as a non-departmental public body, and a public authority with legal obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998, Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2005.

• The Data Protection Act entitles you to request information held about yourself.
• The Environmental Information Regulations entitle you to request environmental information held by a public authority.
• The Freedom of Information Act entitles you to ask for any information which would not be covered by the other legislation and held by a public authority
