Information Request

The information authority is independently funded by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills but is subject to the same legal obligations as the Skills Funding Agency the Data Protection Act 1998, Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2005.

• The Data Protection Act entitles you to request information held about yourself.
• The Environmental Information Regulations entitle you to request environmental information held by a public authority.
• The Freedom of Information Act entitles you to ask for any information which would not be covered by the other legislation and held by a public authority.
