FE Data Standards

The information authority was set up in October 2006 to set data standards and to govern data collection and use for further education and training provision in England.

The formulation and use of a Data Standards Framework is the strategic means by which an organisation moves to standardise the representation, format and the definition of data.

Part of the key deliverables for the information authority is to provide ‘best practice’ for collation, dissemination and management of data standards. The intention is to enable this through a Data Standards Framework.
