Can I use HTML?

You can edit your posts using HTML by clicking on the HTML button in the text editor toolbar.


What are Smilies?

Also known as emoticons, smilies are symbols used to convey emotional content in written or message form.  Smilies can be selected and inserted into a post from the ‘smilies’ menu available in the text editor toolbar.


Can I post images?

Images can be added to a post by using the Insert Image button in the text editor toolbar.  It is possible to upload a wide variety of file types to feconnect.


What are sticky posts / topics?

A sticky post or sticky topic is a type of entry in an online forum that is "pinned" near the top of the forum index, enhancing its visibility and preventing it from being buried by newer posts. On blogs it refers to a blog entry that remains on the front page while others around it change.

Sticky posts (or simply "stickies") generally contain information that a discussion group administrator or moderator believes to be of critical or ongoing value to users of the forum. There may be one or several such 'stickies' at the top of any one forum section.


What are locked topics?

Topics are occasionally locked by forum administrators, for example if the topic is no longer relevant or discussion has closed.


What do the topic icons mean?

Icons are used alongside topics in the forums to graphically represent the status of topics and posts, as follows:
