The consultation on the data requested for collection in the 2013/14 ILR has gone live.
Find out about the data items requested
We received over 130 requests for data to be collected in addition to the core data items. We have grouped the data items under the headings below, and labelled them according to what has been requested i.e. those data items that are new, changes to existing data items and those that we should continue to collect with no changes as well - as fields that are no longer required. We are also consulting on those data items that did not meet the assessment criteria, giving you the opportunity to influence whether we should collect these
For each of the data items we have provided an initial assessment, our proposed solution, learners in scope, impact of this data item, why this data item has been requested and who has made the request. We have also published the business case for each collection request.

Let us know what you think!
We have already started consulting with the sector and gathered views from data users, so we are now keen to gather the views of learning providers and software writers in particular and we have set up an online survey for each group of data items. Your input into this consultation process is crucial so please take the time to review the data items requested and let us know what learner data you think should be collected in the 2013/14 ILR.
The consultation process will close on 31 August, after which we will produce a recommendations paper for the information authority board to agree at its meeting in September, with a view to publishing the 2013/14 ILR Specification at the end of November 2012.
