Are you prepared for the final learner responsive ILR return for 2009/10?

Published: 30 June 2010

As you may be aware, the final return date for learner responsive individualised learner record (ILR) data for 2009/10 is 22 November 2010, some weeks earlier than in previous years. It is important that colleagues in curriculum teams work closely with their MIS team to ensure their achievement data is captured on the ILR and submitted accurately and on time. Lack of preparation and poor quality data can affect your colleges qualification success rates.

So now is the time to start preparing for this return date and ensuring all arrangements are in place. The information authority wishes to ensure that every college is well prepared to send complete date for 2009/10. To assist you, we are reminding colleges to ensure:

  • timely arrangements have been made for assessment to take place.
  • internal or external verification have been taken into account
  • results are obtained from the awarding body in good time
  • all required achievement data is submitted to your MIS team in good time for them to process and input into the ILR ready for submission
  • working with the MIS team to ensure all ILR data is submitted accurately and in time for the return date

REMEMBER: Get it in! Get it right! Preparation is key, work with your MIS team to ensure the correct data is submitted accurately and on time!

Further guidance on the 2009/10 ILR Specification is available on the ILR section of the website.
