More stakeholder workshops planned

Published: 29 September 2008
The information authority is planning to run more stakeholder consultation workshops in the coming months to seek views on the most effective ways of reducing unnecessary data demands placed upon providers by a range of organisations seeking information.

“As an organisation we encourage system-wide participation and collaboration to improve the collection and use of further education system data. These consultation events really help us to do that,” said Paul Kelman, the authority’s Change Manager.

“We ran six ILR-themed workshops earlier this year and a really good mix of stakeholders attended. Some of the key recommendations from those sessions have already been acted on. For instance the ILR specification will now be published earlier than ever before and a more open ILR change request process has been used for the 2009/10 specification.”
