ILR Consultation draws to a close

Our consultation on changes to the 2009/10 individualised learner record (ILR) came to a close this week.

The Data Standards team are already reviewing all of the feedback and preparing a paper to brief the information authority board. The board meets on 1 October, and changes to the 2009/10 ILR will be a key agenda item. We will publish an overview of the approved changes shortly after that meeting.

Thanks to all of you who have made your views known, whether it was online or offline. Your contributions have been very helpful.

Our consultation activities included:

online discussion forums on our FEConnect website;
meetings with various stakeholders such as the LSC and DCSF;
learning provider advisory group meetings;
e-mails to many more stakeholders regarding particular changes;
speaking to delegates at conferences. Events we presented at include the AoC Nilta conference, the Sixth Form College Forum IS conference, and the PICS software users conference.

Head of the information authority, Una Bennett, said; “We tried to make the process as open and transparent as possible and I hope that our stakeholders welcomed the opportunity to see and comment on the proposed changes to the 2009/10 individualised learner record.
