Community Learning Group

This group is for representatives from community learning providers who are responsible for preparing and sending community learning (ASL) ILR returns. 

Please note: in order to align with the reform proposals in New Challenges, New Chances, the Adult Safeguarded Learning (ASL) Group has been renamed the Community Learning Group.

At the meeting on 20 March attendees discussed:

• Relevance of planned learning hours for Community Learning
• Limitations of the destination data collected on the ILR
• Recording Formal First Step and related additional guidance
• Use of non-regulated qualification codes
• Implications of the Data Collection and Funding Transformation project
• The new Course Directory and dashboard
• Whether progression analysis can be undertaken from Personal Learning Records as awarding organisations update results directly and also whether training providers can access results directly from awarding organisations
• 2013/14 LIS being moved to Windows 7 and 8 from Windows XP and using stand alone machines as a result or using this to draft business cases for the upgrade
• Final return close date brought forward to 25 October 2013.
