Welcome to the information authority

The information authority was set up in October 2006 to set data standards and govern data collection and use for further education and training provision in England.

Our decision-making board is headed by an independent chairman and has a wide range of members with an interest in further education (FE) data. The board is supported by a small operational secretariat. We are funded by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

Spotlight on 11/12 ILR R06

The 2011/12 R06 ILR return is due in on 06 February 2012. Please ensure that the transmission file type (either A or B) is correct.

It is advisable to send your file a few days earlier than the return date, to give yourself time to clear any errors in your validation error report.
